Submit your Paper

Point 1

All the papers will be submitted ONLY ELECTRONICALLY

directly to the web-site of the JOURNAL OF MATERIALS SCIENCE

NO hard-copies (or CD) sent by post will be accepted.

If you have submitted any paper during the Conference, please ignore it and make the electronic submission.

Point 2

Deadline of electronic submission is 31 May 2009.

The Guest Editors of the Special issue of Journal of Materials Science related to HTC2009 conference decided to extend the deadline for manuscript submission from May 31 to June 15. No further extension will be given.

Point 3

After full peer review, accepted manuscripts will be published in a special issue of Interface Science, now part of the Journal of Materials Science.

We shall try to notify the authors about the acceptance of their paper before December 2009.

Point 4

There is NO limit of the number of words that you can use in your paper (please forget the previous instructions).

However, please concisely write your paper as you write your regular papers submitted in Journals (i.e. no repetitions in text, Tables and Figures etc.)

Moreover, please follow all the guidelines given in the instructions by the Journal (about the format of the text, figures, tables, references, etc.)

Now, please see the 5 simple steps to submit your paper (pay special attention at step 5):

Step 1: Link to the on-line submission web-page.

Step 2: Select Login

Step 3: Login as Author (for new users, first register)

Step 4: Select Submit New Manuscript

Step 5: Choose the Article type “Special: HTC2009” - BE CAREFUL HERE

STEP 1

1.a Type the web-address that you see in that page.

1.b From that page, press (with your mouse) on the “submit on-line” (it is at the down-right-hand corner of your screen).

STEP 2

2.a A new-window will open in your screen.

2.b From that screen, select (with your mouse) the LOGIN (it is after HOME in the lines at the top of the page).

STEP 3

Login as AUTHOR.

If this is the first time that you use this web-site, then you first need to register yourself and then to submit your paper.

In that case, select “Register now”.

A new page will automatically open, you will give the data (the obligatory data are marked with *), you will write-down (in your notebook) your username and password and then you will have an account in the Journal of Materials Science (not only now but for ever, to submit more papers in the future).

If you will forget your username and password in the future, do not afraid! If you select “send username/password”, then the Journal will send you (by e-mail) them in few seconds in your mail-box!

STEP 4

Select “Submit New Manuscript” from this page (it is the first option)

STEP 5

PAY SPECIAL ATTENTION HERE

(Please see bellow the web-page that you will see in your screen).

Choose the CORRECT Article type by selecting “Special: HTC2009”

If you will not select this option, then your paper will be considered OUT of the HTC-2009 (as to be an other regular submission).
